What is a Dental Filling?
When a cavity forms, it creates a hole in the tooth that, if left untreated, can lead to further decay, pain, and potential tooth loss.

A filling restores the tooth’s structure, sealing out bacteria and helping to preserve your natural tooth for years to come.

At Infinity Dental & Beauty Spa, we offer different types of fillings, including durable, tooth-coloured options that blend seamlessly with your natural teeth.

These tooth-coloured fillings, often made of composite resin, provide a discreet solution that restores function and appearance. We also offer traditional fillings for those seeking other options.

If you’re looking for a dental filling in the Isle of Man, our team is here to provide you with a comfortable, high-quality experience. From consultation to the final filling, we’re committed to helping you achieve a healthy, natural-looking smile.
Types of Dental Fillings Available
There are several types of dental fillings to suit different needs and preferences:

Composite Fillings
Our most popular option, composite fillings in the Isle of Man are tooth-coloured, making them ideal for visible areas of the mouth. They blend seamlessly with your natural teeth for a discreet look, though they may wear slightly faster than other options.

Amalgam Fillings
Amalgam fillings are known for their durability. This makes them a great choice for back teeth where strength is key.

They’re long-lasting and cost-effective, but they don’t match the natural tooth colour, which can make them more noticeable. But since they are often used for the back teeth, that may not be much of an issue.

Ceramic Fillings
Made of porcelain, ceramic fillings are highly aesthetic and stain-resistant, providing a durable, tooth-like option. While they’re a bit more expensive, they offer excellent durability and a natural appearance.

Each filling type has unique benefits, and we’re here to help you choose the best option for a tooth-colored filling in the Isle of Man that meets both your functional and aesthetic needs.
The Dental Filling Process
At Infinity Dental, we make the dental filling process in the Isle of Man as smooth and comfortable as possible. We use advanced techniques to ensure you have a positive experience with painless dental fillings.

Step 1: Initial Consultation and Examination

We start with a thorough examination to assess the condition of your tooth. Our team will discuss the best filling options for you and address any concerns, making sure you’re fully informed and comfortable.

Step 2: Preparation and Local Anaesthesia

Before we begin, we’ll prepare the tooth and apply a local anaesthetic to numb the area. This ensures that the procedure is painless, so you can relax while we work.

Step 3: Filling Placement and Shaping

Next, we remove any decay and carefully place the filling material. For tooth-coloured fillings, we layer the composite resin and shape it to match the natural contours of your tooth, ensuring a natural look and feel.

Step 4: Final Adjustment and Polishing

Once the filling is in place, we make final adjustments for a perfect fit and polish the surface for a smooth, comfortable finish. You’ll leave our clinic with a strong, natural-looking smile.
